[misc]halo2 collision model extraction

Over the last couple days ive been working on collision model extraction. i referenced alot of it to with a plugin by xbox7887. but this is what i got so far.

^that is the odball i outlined it so u can kinda see its shape

ive been able to get all the verticies extracted but i still got to figure the rest out. if anyone is good at programming and can help me make this a program can u post here or pm me?

Awesome, but...most models collision models are just the models themselves, but still nice.

halo 2 extracted stuff is soooo illegal

"HaloMod's Policy towards Halo 2 ripping

Recently there has been alot of Halo2 ripping. So there is a new rule in affect.
Anything ripped from Halo2 and put into anotehr game will not be tolerated. That means

No ripped bsp's put into HaloCE maps

No models or tags of anything ripped from Halo2

No linking to Halo2 ripped content(Like Haloce maps, models, ect.)

No mods of Halo2 ripped weapons

No ripped Bitmaps from Halo2

No ripped sounds from Halo2"

1. Halomods says halo 2 ripped content is okay as long as the pics/DL are hosted OFFSITE.

2. He's creating a program to extract the collision models, meaning you already have to own halo 2/the halo 2 maps, etc.. to use it.

ummmm im pretty sure your just not supposed to post links to a actual model or sumthing extracted from halo2, I havnt actually put any model or anything up for download.

And i guess your also saying any program like dark matter, adi, insolence,h2x...ect that can extract anything like a model or even a bitmap are ilegal to right??

next time your gonna try post one big flame i suggest u think about what your saying so u dont sound like a idiot

But seriously, aren't most of the collision models in the game pretty much just the models? I thought thats how it was, because when you make CE Tags you like use the same model for Collision and such.

yeah its pretty much the same thing but in halo2 its a separate tag that holds the collison model

im guessing im not the first, but with this if i ever get extraction and injection finished you could say make your own model of a house then inject the proper collision in so that u dont walk right through it

yes yes, if collision model injection was possible, you would be able to make secret rooms and stuff in regular levels and stuff, muahahahaha the possibilities
