A few topics were posted here with various rules and regulations so I decided to clean up the amount of stickies and combine them into a single post with all the rules of this forum. Credit to the original posters will be given, but I will probably edit the original post for grammar and comprehension if needed.
This is the complete list of rules and regulations of the Halo2 Modding Forums. Read these through before posting. If you post something stupid and it is obvious you didn't read the rules, your topic/post will be deleted and you will be handed a warning.
General Forum Rules
- Xbox Modding discussion (i.e. "How to install a Modchip" or "How to use this Soft Mod") is not allowed. Any posts like this will be instantly deleted without warning and the user will be Temp Banned on the spot. For help or discussion of Xbox Modding, visit Xbox Scene.
- Copyrighted Content should not be posted or linked to. For example, posting or linking the Halo2 Master Chief model, texture, or sounds is violating this rule, and the topic/post will be deleted without warning. Posting Full Maps is also violating this rule. This also include skins of any type. NEVER post the actual skin of a vehicle (i.e. the DDS file of a ghost skin). Only post PPF's or Serenity Patches. ANY content originally taken from another game is not allowed, you are only allowed to post work you made or work by somebody else that you recieved permission to post. A strike will be given to the user, and the second time he does it, he will be permanently banned.
- Warez is strongly prohibited. Posting or asking for any types of warez (this includes any types of software and even CD Keys) is violating this rule and the post/topic will be deleted without warning. The person responsible will be temp banned the first time, and the second offense of this type will earn a permanent ban.
- Off Topic posts are prohibited. Remember to stay on topic. This means no posts about another game other than Halo2. All off topic posts will be moved to their proper forum or the Cafe and the poster will recieve a warning. Second offense earns a strike, and the third time earns a temp ban.
- No talk of Aim Bots or Profile Hacks or anything similiar to it. It doesn't matter if its for XBC or XBL. It's not allowed since the user can just say he wants it for XBC and turn around and go on XBL with it. Any talk of cheating wether it be tutorials or questions or just general discussion about it will merit the deletion of the post and a strike for the user. Second offense will earn a ban.
- Avoid discussion and questions relating to modding maps in the TDATA folder, as the information and programs would help Live modders. Sorry it has to be this way, but these people make it so we can not use the stuff legitimately. If information or programs are posted, they will be removed and the user may be punished.
And always: SEARCH BEFORE POSTING!
