creating a dedicated server

i need help, I want to create a dedicated server but not sure exactly how to make it work. I have looked at many different tutorials but they only show how to create the file. Can someone write me a quick tut on how to get a dedicated server working.
(i currently have haloded the one tht is downloadable from halomods and the manual update from bungie)

Click save,then save it to your Halo pc of ce root directory.Wichever one your making the server for.All thatr does is type
sv_mapcycle_begin
for ya.Cause most people dont know how to type that.
