!!Help!! Please Help Me With 3DS Max/GMax

Ok, I'm downloading HEK, and Ive downloaded Halo CE, so I have all of those tools. The problem is, I tried this mapping before, but didnt hav the time becuz of skool, so I just deleted all of the programs. But I forgot to delete 3DS Max 7, so my time with it ran out. I eventually then uninstalled that. Today, I downloaded it again (months later since I uninstalled it). But it still knows that I had it before. So I tried to remember what the name of the alternate program was. I think its GMax. my first quesiton is, is GMax right? now, i was goin thru the video tutorials, and i got to the 2nd 1 wer u use 3DS Max. GMax seems to be made so its alot alike, but ther r still sum things that r different. my question is, is there a way to get 3DS Max again without paying $3,400, or is there another program i shuld use? id really like to make my own maps. if all else fails, im hoping i can find sum1 who is on alot, and can walk me thru it over AIM. thx a bunch, and plz help me asap. thx.

use gmax its from the same company as 3ds max but it is free.There are ways of getting 3ds max but we aren't suppose to talk abvout this on halomods.

k, thx, GMax is wat im usin, but sum things r hard to folo on the vid tutorial. and, u mean wat we rnt spose to talk bout on halomods is how to get 3ds max free or sumthin? neway, thx for the help. and if ne1 nos ne other way of gettin 3ds max, besides the 30 day trial (since mine dont work, read first message), plz email me at:

there are many people who know it how to and its illegeal.Gmax is ok and yes you have to figure out some things.

yes but before i boiught my max 7 (used off ebay) i tryed gmax. it lets you do the basics but there are manythings that it suffers. like exporing and renders, and there are a lot of modifiers its missing compared to max. max is worth it if your into modeling and youhave deep poctets or if you get a god deal like me on ebay or amazon.

yeh, thats wat i was sayin. its hard for me to even get thru the tutorial without 3ds max. for exame, i cant even do 1 of the most basic yet needed things, rotate the grid itself!!. and i dont hav the money for 3ds, so im pretty much stuck. and as far as the download thing, yeh, i no thats illegal, so again i say, im pretty much stuck. thx neway guys for all ur help.
