Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

select and move button problem w/ 3ds max!

Post by viperxp »

I have been having a problem with the select and move button for about a week now and I have no clue what happened. When you click on a object you created with select and move, for some reason i do not get that cube thing anymore! It was really helpful, and let u resize objecs move them around anyway u wanted, etc.... I also do not have the rotate things anymore.. I don't know how to explain it! lol When I use select and move the only thing that appears in the middle of the object is 3 lines pointing to x, y, and z. NO CUBE, so i can't like re size things!

How do I get the lol "CUBE" back?

Lol, it's a hotkey you pressed by accident. I forgot which one it is, but I had this problem before as well, it was just a while ago and I forgot which key it is. That's all I know, it's a hotkey you pressed by accident.

Go to Help --> hotkey map and move your moue over areas on the keyboard. It will show you what every hotkey does. Press X to get the grab gizmo back.
Good bye.
