There are 3 stages of Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles, a stage 3 being able to reach anywhere in the world. They have developed a stage 2 capable of hitting the West Coast of the United States. I was in San Francisco for the 4th of July yesterday, and some people thought they might try to test on the US of the fourth, which of course they didn't.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:I heard they launched five or six missiles. All but one were short/medium range missiles, and they were all launched into the ocean. The last missile was long-range with possibilities of going as far as to Alaska, but it failed just seconds into the launch sequence.
An attack on North Korea be very delicate being as they have one of the largest standing armies in the world (over 1 million strong) and the largest soldier:population ratio in the world.
I didn't watch that but I read about the development of a real life Gauss Cannon being developed for American warship. A Gauss Cannon uses magnetic energy instead of combustion (gunpowder) to fire projectiles. The one being developed would be capable of hitting anywhere in North Korea from off the coast.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:Anybody watch that show Futureweapons on the Discovery Channel? It's incredible to see some of the modern weapons that are being used around the world. And yes, it shows many U.S. weapons that are being used to shoot missiles down almost 100% of the time.
