Seeing how I hang out with punks, Id be able to define them the best.

Punks: Usually have multicolored hair, (like my buddy pig has a green and red trihawk) Wear stitched clothes,(modified to be tighter) Ripped hems on the cuffs and ankles, a denim vest, or a leather bomber jacket with studs on the edges, spikes on the wrists, and collar, and patches of their favorite bands(or their own band.)they wear no makup, (except for the girls in the group.) Mostly everyone has different colored hair, usually, 1-2 different colors, and their natural haircolor.

emos: The people under the overpass wear we hang out, in the dark, under the tree, One guy has dyed black hair, and plays an acoustic guitar,

The other one calls himself a punk, and sometimes wears a Sex Pistols shirt, but has Death Cab for Cutie, All American Rejects, and Hawthorn Heights patches.
He drinks Dayquil And writes poems about dying and torture.

The only girl of the group had full black hair, but her blonde roots are starting to come out, wears a Linkin Park Shirt, and has wrist scars from when her boyfriend broke up with her a month ago, and was on Suicide watch for some time.
And the last, is a guy that was part of our group and went Emo. he wears the same pants everyday,(we did a test with paint that someone stole from the art dept. and put in a condom and threw at him, splattering the heel of the pants.) an has the flippy hair thing going.

Zandi, True punks can't wear baggy clothing. Like the ones I hang out with, the phychobillies of the group wear really tight, stitched clothing for the pit. The Skinhead wears more looser clothing, and the token Emo, wears somewhat tight clothes, and a loose HIM hoodie, and his funny looking rubber barbed wire wristbands.

Not to mention that the guys try to look like girls and the girls try to look like guys most of the time.

A true punk/ska band is Operation Ivy.
IMO, they are one of the best bands ever.

i typically wear baggy clothing, hate tight pants, and wear the same black hoody every day (don't worry, i wash it). i listen to metal, some punk, and have a sweet techno cd i bought from a freind at school that actually makes it. i'm also one of the top 5 kids in my school regarding skill with computers and the like. i'm not emo, not necessarily punk, just kinda... heck if i know.

I will have to agree buddha, but the bosstones are still up there on my top 5 list (their unofficial break-up knocked them down a few pegs)

Btw, Ska owns all kinds of music

I hate Coheed and Cambria soo much! I hate them just cause they have that stupid singer. I hate his voice. He sounds way too much like a girl and his voice is way to high piched of a voice. Like the Guitars though.

A7X's new stuff is cool, but their old stuff is a lot better. They are not Emo. MCR and bands like that are.
