Camtasia is a desktop recording. You can film your desktop and make video tutorials etc.

Fraps is a great quality video recorder, but can take pictures as well.

I suggest using -screenshot. because it comes in great quality and is instant and you can take them much faster.

Right click your shortcut to halo, and you should see properties. Click that. Then go to target, and make it look like this:

Then, if you hit PrtScrn in game, it will make a screenshot directory for you in your halo directory.

yea. then get convim to change that targa (trga or whatever) to a jpg or a tif or whatever. Its very easy to use if you dont have photoshot or paintshop

To make a movie get fraps, or camtasia is ok. Fraps you can only record ingame, but it is more quality. Camtasia is in and out of game, but less quality in game. It is still not bad though, I use camtasia

It only records ingame, games using DirectX or OpenGL. Halo uses DirectX, so you can record halo movies. However, your open desktop doesn't, so you can't record that with fraps. Camtasia can record anyhing, but the quality is slightly less.
