Why am I not on there?

I've been here much longer than Equinox and MASTA, and Spar III's been here for like 10 days more than me. I know both the rules and the forum inside out much more than anyone here, and I do help out a lot (I wouldn't be a Guardian otherwise...). I've been petitioning for this position for most of the time I've been here (and MASTA and Equinox get it by just asking Gren on IRC - go figure

). I once petitioned for moderator, laying down my goals as moderator. Most of you wouldn't know who Hex is, but he once started the longest flame war in HM history. No one did anything about a 20-page-long 90-Billion-degree Flame war for a month and a half after it started, while I constantly petitioned to have it removed. That is leadership (no names named)? Leaving this massive flame/spam thread while I'm telling them to deal with it?

This place needs new management. Lots of it. Furthermore, what we need is moderators that are actually on and active, not people who haven't visited in almost a year!

Mods needing to be removed from status: Aztec (he's just not here enough), Hivemind (likewise), Ang88, WaLKa, Liquidpro, The Guardian, argrn, and James (2 months in between posts).

All above don't visit enough to deserve this status. Gren, Kpt, this whole thing has turned into a mess... pick your moderators, pick them wisely, and remove their status when they just aren't using it enough/abusing it. You made this place and ya gotta maintain it

agreed. I wont ask for any admin/sub-admin/moderator/whatever-special-status, but i won't turn it down if someone offers it to me because i know first-hand the kind of crap that goes on here and am willing to take action against it, even if it means being called a 'Nazi' or whatever. these forums need a serious makover, i don't really care who does it, just as long as it gets done.

EDIT: hmm, just had a think on how disciplinary action could progress:

minor offense (small flames/spams): private warning and deletion of offending post (depending on severity)

major offense(constant minor offenses; any major flame/spam; engagment in a flame-war): public warning in a sticky dedicated o such warnings along with a copy of the offending post, deletion of original post.

mutiple major offenses: Temporary ban of 24 hours to one week depending on severity/repetitiveness, add to the public-notice sticky

continuing problem: temp ban of one-month to perma-ban depending on severity

how the public-notice sticky would work: Your first public-notice will get a post about you that will be handled like a police-record. New trangressions will be duly recorded in this post (instead of a new one for each offense) along with the date, classification, and disciplinary action taken. This stickie will be available for public-viewing but NOT public posting. the purpose of this stickie will be to raise general awareness of action by moderators/admins. Most of the action taken by admins goes realatively un-noticed except in the cases of major, drawn-out flamewars (example, the mac vs. Santa's ELF war a few months ago), hopefully raising public knowledge of activity of the admins will also lead to better behavior..

feel free to add any ideas to this list.

Strangly enough Aztec was on yesterday.But hes now an admin,I thing we need new modderators.But gren plays favorites to people he likes so hes not going to get rid of them.Lets start a pettion or something

i dont want somone who just joined for example...

and some people have voiced concerns about them just banning ppl they dont like...
i think they should olny temp ban so the bans can be reviewed by a full admin

I guess I'd have to disagree. Either Equinox or HunterXI getting that much power (however much that is) bothers me. HunterXI does help, but come on... look at that postcount, we need someone to divide it into spam, flame, help, and general stuff and give percents. Equinox ... I dunno, he's really harsh on some people who just have no idea what they're doing. It's kinda unfair, but I end up not caring because it's just funny. I think we only need 2 active admins, one in the US, one in the UK. Then we're pretty much covered time-wise.

Oh yeah, and Hex is a dick. Let me note how hard it is to get on my bad side. That guy just pisses me off to no end. If I had to choose between mac and him, I'd choose... well I'd choose Hex, atleast he can do something productive sometimes.

I'm too nice. All you people suck. There.

Oh #2, I see argrnrngrangraingrow(whatever) around a lot. Maybe that's just me though.

It is quite unfair to many people who are on alot of the day, have exceptionally well behavior, and they have moderators who have never done any activity or haven't even been active at the forums at all *cough* Liquid pro *cough* 0 posts *cough*.
