Universe At War

Post by Rockymods »

Universe At War is a RTS game that is currently being developed by Petroglyph.

It is kind of like war of the worlds except you don't play as the humans and there are three alien factions to play as. The game seems to have some great potential since each faction are built so differently. I am in the beta but have not been able to successfully play a full multiplayer match due to a unprepared release of it and microsofts lazy employees that have so far taken 4 months to just release the patch... We're waiting...

The demo was recently released so if you feel like checking it out download it ->here<-

Those red aliens in the first pic look like hunters with SCORPION-396's red hunter recolor.

The Monoliths look like soda cans. I'm pretty skeptical on how it'll be from these screenshots, but I'll give the demo a try.

Screenshots off Gamespot show the game 10x better than the screenshots posted above...

The screenshots were of just the beta but I changed them anyway. I can't wait till they release this but it would be nice if microsoft would actually get the patch through certification

I saw the trailer on Steam and it looks cool, so I downloaded the demo. Haven't played it yet, but I looked at some other videos on Game Trailers, and I have to say it has some really neat dynamics. If I enjoy the demo, and I expect I will, I'll probably be buying this.

My PC's a piece of crap and I can run it semi-decently. (3.06GHz single-core processor, 1GBRAM, GeForce FX 5500)

Seriously, more people need to build computers. Your own custom computer for half the price it's normally sold.

Don't really have the time. I'm pretty busy, normally. I normally only post on here at night when I got nothing else to do. Don't exactly have the extra time to go out searching for everything needed to build a computer. Plus, I use a laptop. I need a computer that I can travel around easily with.

The only real time waster in it is searching for the right prices and waiting for the orders to come in.

The actual building of the computer only took me a day.

But yeah, I probably have more free time than most people.

Takes me just under 30 minutes to completly build a pc from scratch and to get to installing the OS.

Like, Aumaan Anubis, it's searching for the parts that takes most of the time.
