at the opryland hotel, the marching band i'm in was hired to play at an HP conference, sort of like a surprise, so we go there and get ready outside, making sure to keep quiet because we don't want to hint at our presence. anyways, we parade in to the usual cadents, play eye of the tiger, and leave, nothing special. the cool thing is we got paid around $1,500 (if i remember right) for doing about 3 minutes worth of work, max.
anyways, one weird thing i noticed just now it that there's a strong storm front heading towards me, but it's just a big vertical line.... see?
weird... anyways, on to what i really want to talk about...
RIAA commits extortion in it's lawsuits
maybe this will put a stop to 'em. seriously, charging $700+ for each song? outrageous! oh well, at least this is bad press for the RIAA instead of their victims. discuss?
