How do I make it so I can play mememsis off my main menu?

I play on xbox live a lot with my mods and I currently have the autoupdate on my xbox. But whenever I try and download someones map pack(mainly memesis) the only way i can see the maps are by renaming them to what the level the mods will be played on. So someone told me that I couldnt do it because of the autoupdate on live... is this the case or not? if so please tell me how to remove it then put it back on so i can play live when i want to...(if that is even possible) thanks.......

Errr...xbl modding? That's a huge nono here. Please never ask about xbl here again. I doubt that you will get an answer to this now.

dos thats and understatement you can get banned for saying xbl, OH NOES I SAID IT na but merriam you need to turn the update off to play mimisis maps so jts rename it to default1.xbe or something

ok buddy.... I cant play xbl while modding..? haha I run one of the biggest movie clans there is with one of the best sites of it associated with it. Im pretty sure Im allowed to talk about xbl if I use them to make movie mods... thanks for all the help and im glad your an elite cuz ur very helpful to other ppl... lmao but to the person who posted below.. I just rename it and it will work?
