Linking object to the reference frame

Ok, because so many people are throwing out ideas about what you have to do to all you're objects to get them to export with your level, I am extremly confused! I linked every object in my level to the reference frame (see the picture below) Is this what I'm supposed to do, or is anything else involved? Man, I am really confused...

make sure they are ATTACHED to your level

Scince I am such a dunbass and a noob at 3ds max, could.. hehe.. someone tell me how to attatch everything together? I have a whole bunch of seperate objects and so when I try to compile the level, I get tons of errors.
