CE Base

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

CE Base

Post by JK-47 »

I dont know if im going to work on it more or not.

I did make sure that no faces overlapped, I did that by placing (for this example, well say the cylindars holding the bridge) the cylindar there, then i cloned it and kept it in the exact same spot, then I did a Boolean on one of the cylindars, so the cloned one would stay in the exact same spot as the regular one.

Anyways, heres some pictures, I put the halo reference models there to show you how big the base is (oh, and its untextured, so if i release the model, people can choose thier own textures):

needs lots more work. i'm willing to give you some pointers, if you accept the fact that it needs to look a lot better and has no design to it.

Dude. No. Do you even know who Katarn and Snaf are? They are some of the few 1337est modelers that have ever set foot in CE. =D

Actually maybe an hour. Im pretty new on doing things that have an indoor thing to them so what really took me the most time was doing the inside of the base. I never do things that take 5 minutes though, if it takes me 5 minutes to do something, its not even worth doing.
I'm proud of my base, and I'm sorry if i'm not the greatest modeler in the world. Besides, I'm still working on it, thats why I havent posted a link for the download yet.

That would mean? Ive never really added a collision model and put any of my things into halo, I just like modeling. If you are worried about overlapping faces, don't, I already said I took care of it.

Reaper, don't be snotty... and you've been modelling bases a LOT longer, so of course you could do it a lot faster...
